• Do I have to pay for quotations and site visits?
  No. Site visits and quotations are provided to customers free of charge. What information does CSM require to prepare a quotation? New - If the homeowner has not begun construction, a preliminary quotation can be generated from the plans of the proposed building. If construction has already begun on the building, and it is near to the ring beam, actual site measurements can be taken to generate a more accurate quotation.Existing - For re-roofing an existing building, we recommend that a site visit be done, to determine the extent of the work required. Be it removal of existing frame and roofing sheets before installation of new steel frame and roofing sheets.

• How quickly will you be able to start work?
  It depends on a number of factors:· The readiness of the structure to receive the roof· Co-ordination of the activities of the other trades (eg. Masons) working on the project· Weather conditionsHowever, on the acceptance of the down payment, the time schedule for production of materials right down to the completion of installation of roof, is discussed with the client.

• How long will the job take?
  New - It depends on size, complexity of design and weather conditions. A simple gable design roof can be completed in as little as four (4) days after the material is delivered to site. Whereas a very complex roof with hips, valleys and dormers can take up to a couple weeks. Also, the time will vary depending on weather. Existing - Again the size, complexity of design and weather conditions. However, we are not able to work in rainy weather and, if your job requires removing the old roof and the forecast calls for a chance of rain, we will not work. In general, a smaller job without removal could take several workdays. A larger job with removal could take several weeks.

• What is the best way to compare prices from several contractors?
  The best way is to compare their estimates to CSM's proposals. Our proposals are typically thorough and spell out all the items we are including in our work. In most cases, a big variation in price is due to differences in the quality of the roofing sheets and other materials being used and additional work being done. If the proposal is not detailed, you should ask for clarification based on the proposal you like.

• How do I know my roof is being installed properly?
  First of all, hire a reputable contractor. All our installers are certified by CSM. CSM also has very strict standards for our installers to adhere to. Our Project Supervisor visits the job frequently and does a thorough inspection at completion.Does CSM guaranty their work? Yes. We are proud of the reputation of CSM's TRUE Warranty. CSM provides you with our 5-year water tightness for new work. This warranty covers all labor and material costs for leaks that occur during that period. You would also receive the manufactures warranty of 10 years for the structural integrity of the material
